Youth Tennis on Indefinite Hiatus
The vision of All American Team Tennis has always been to incorporate a greater sense of Community in a very lonely game. As far back as 2010, All American Team Tennis has invited children to become tennis Teammates, choosing to work together as opposed to becoming adversaries. For over 15 seasons we’ve created memorable experiences for every player in the League; from Field trips to Championship Saturday to personal appearances from local tennis celebrities. All American Team Tennis would take tennis in a new direction.
Unfortunately, our inability to garner support from the tennis community, and the general population as a whole, would lead to a re-evaluation of our efforts, and the decision to indefinitely suspend the Youth Tennis League as of Friday August 4, 2017. We will, however, continue to promote the College Tennis game though our social media efforts as we believe College tennis is the only way to generate interest in a sport that no one pays attention to. And when the marketplace improves we plan to revive the League, bigger and better than ever.
If you have supported our efforts in the past, we truly appreciate your belief in team tennis . We hope your tennis experience has been a memorable one and that you will continue to play for your schools. If you attended one of our Field Trips, we appreciate your support of College Tennis as well as the League, and hope you had a good time. If you wish to continue playing tennis, we encourage you to do so. There are a lot of good things happening if you know where to look for it. And if you would like to discuss these changes in greater detail, we encourage you to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter and Instagram because it’s only a matter of time before we are able to do this again. Tennis may be hard to find, but it isn’t dead. And as long as YOU hold onto it, it will never go away.
‘Til we meet again…
